Responsibilities for the hirers of the hall

The hirer is responsible for the safety of all attendees during the hire period. 

Nominate attendees to assist persons entering or leaving the premises. Attendance on duty should be not less than one for every 50 or part of 50 persons present.

Fire exits must always remain unobstructed.

On hearing the fire alarm, evacuate the premises, making sure all rooms are clear. If it is safe to do so, the assembly point is on the main car park and ring 999 to report.

Ensure you know the location of the fire equipment. 

Fire extinguishers are positioned around the hall to be used if it is safe to do so.

Please follow instructions on the extinguishers before using.

Smoking, vaping, and the use of illegal substances are strictly prohibited in the hall and its surrounding area.

Electrical appliances brought into the hall must comply with all safety standards.

First aid kits are provided in the hall kitchen, but the hirer is advised to ensure appropriate first aid cover for their events.

The hall's insurance does not cover the hirer's activities. Hirers are advised to obtain their own public liability insurance if necessary.

Ensure kitchen equipment is only used by a responsible person. No children to be allowed in the kitchen.

At the end of hire please ensure all areas are clean, tables are cleaned and put back in racks and chairs are stacked properly. Also do a full check of premises ensuring everything is switched off and premises locked and keys returned to key safe.
